There are few things more thrilling than a lover’s gaze, even if only temporary. This project was spawned from a traumatic breakup and the global pandemic.
At the start of the pandemic, I left my partner of 9 years and New York City behind. I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and started dating. I spent a year documenting my experiences through photographs. The work became a practice in vulnerability, trust, and adventure. It was my way of gaining control of the narrative during a chaotic time in my life and in the world.
